Shipping and Delivery Policy for Urban Portable Cabin

At Urban Portable Cabin, we strive to ensure timely manufacturing and delivery of portable cabins, prefabricated structures, container offices, and modular building solutions across India. This Shipping and Delivery Policy outlines the terms related to transportation, loading, unloading, and delivery responsibilities.

By placing an order with Urban Portable Cabin, customers agree to the following terms and conditions.


1. Delivery Locations

Urban Portable Cabin delivers products across India, subject to transportation accessibility and site conditions.

Delivery availability may vary depending on the project location, road conditions, and transportation feasibility.


2. Transportation Charges

All transportation and shipping charges shall be borne and paid entirely by the customer unless otherwise specifically agreed in writing.

The customer is responsible for paying:

  • Transportation charges.
  • Freight charges.
  • Toll charges.
  • Entry taxes, if applicable.
  • State border charges, if applicable.
  • Any additional transportation expenses arising during transit.

Shipping and transportation charges are separate from the product cost unless specifically mentioned in the quotation.


3. Loading Responsibility

Urban Portable Cabin will arrange and bear the cost of loading the finished product at our factory or dispatch location.

Loading charges at our factory are included from our side unless otherwise specified.

Our team will ensure that products are properly loaded for transportation before dispatch.


4. Unloading Responsibility

Unloading at the customer’s site shall be entirely the customer’s responsibility and cost.

The customer must arrange at their own expense:

  • Crane services.
  • Hydra services.
  • Forklifts.
  • Labour for unloading.
  • Any other equipment required for unloading.

Urban Portable Cabin shall not be responsible for arranging or paying for unloading equipment or manpower at the delivery site.


5. Site Accessibility

Customers must ensure that the delivery location is accessible for trucks, trailers, cranes, and other transportation vehicles.

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing proper road access.
  • Ensuring sufficient unloading space.
  • Obtaining local permissions, if required.
  • Ensuring safe site conditions for unloading and installation.

Any delays or additional costs arising due to poor site accessibility shall be borne by the customer.


6. Delivery Time

Delivery timelines provided by Urban Portable Cabin are estimated and may vary depending on:

  • Manufacturing schedules.
  • Product customization.
  • Weather conditions.
  • Transportation availability.
  • Traffic conditions.
  • Government restrictions.
  • Natural disasters.
  • Unforeseen circumstances.

Urban Portable Cabin shall not be held liable for delays caused by factors beyond our reasonable control.


7. Risk and Ownership

The risk associated with the product transfers to the customer upon delivery at the designated site.

Customers are advised to inspect the product immediately upon delivery.

Any damage noticed during unloading or after delivery should be reported immediately.


8. Damages During Unloading

Urban Portable Cabin shall not be responsible for:

  • Damages occurring during unloading.
  • Damages caused by improper handling at the site.
  • Damages caused by customer-appointed transporters.
  • Damages caused by cranes, hydras, forklifts, or labour arranged by the customer.
  • Site accidents occurring during unloading or shifting.

9. Delayed Acceptance of Delivery

If the customer fails to accept delivery on the scheduled date, additional charges including storage, transportation waiting charges, and re-delivery charges may apply.

Such charges shall be payable by the customer.


10. Force Majeure

Urban Portable Cabin shall not be liable for delays or failure in delivery resulting from circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters.
  • Floods.
  • Heavy rainfall.
  • Fire.
  • Strikes.
  • Lockdowns.
  • Government restrictions.
  • Transportation disruptions.
  • War or civil disturbances.

11. Customer Acknowledgement

By placing an order with Urban Portable Cabin, the customer acknowledges and agrees that:

  • Transportation charges are to be paid by the customer.
  • Loading at our factory will be provided from our side.
  • Unloading at the customer’s site is solely the customer’s responsibility.
  • Urban Portable Cabin is not responsible for unloading expenses, equipment, or manpower.
